Hello,

Are you interested in being part of something meaningful and stimulating? Do you feel that you need to enrich your university livelihood? Are you a passionate and dedicated person? If your answer is yes yes and YES! Then you are the one we are looking for, to become an officer and work hand in hand with the new committee members.

We're now recruiting Co-op officers for our 10/11 committee.To those of you who are interested in applying for a position as an officer, do pay attention to the details below.

Activities Officer (4)

· Involves hands on brainstorming, organising and helping out during activities

· We are looking for people who are committed, efficient, innovative, responsible, FUN and spontaneous, willing to commit a significant amount of time and effort to the club and are good team players

Sponsorship Officer (2)

· Involves helping directors to find sponsors, create new ties and other organisations

· We are looking for people who have good communication skills, and are able to communicate effectively with potential sponsors, equipped with commendable writing skills, confident, creative and willing to put in time for the department and are capable of handling multiple tasks at a given time

Publicity Officer (6)

· Involves all kinds of publicity for MoMU club and events - chalk run, posters design.

· We are looking for people who possess sufficient knowledge in Photoshop, who are CREATIVE, outgoing, sociable, committed, punctual and are able to carry out duties responsibly

IT Officer/Editor (1)

· Involves handling the MoMU blog, FaceBook and any other computer related/online things, compiling our newsletter or Eyeball publications.

· We are looking for people who are familiar with HTML, website designs,and passionate with writing/blogging.

Note that officers are not limited to their allocated positions so if you are interested in other areas, there are opportunities to mix around and get involved. You can also apply for multiple positions.

All you need to do is drop us an email and arrange for a short interview (10 to 15 minutes) anytime between 3pm – 6.30pm on 25/8/2010 (Wednesday) to 27/8/2010 (Friday)

You only need to attend ONE interview. However, bear in mind that the interview may take a longer time if you are applying for multiple positions, so please choose your slot/time wisely.

The details of the AGM are:
Date: 13th of August (Friday)
Venue: Harold White Theatre, The Arts Centre (corner Swanston St. & Grattan St.)
Time: 2.15 pm

Those of you who are interested in running for a position, we will be allocating a max. of 3 minutes for speeches. We will also open the floor for questions after each speech.
For those who are determined to run, do send us an e-mail, stating your position of choice.

Nominations for committee positions will be called out at the AGM hence no proxies are permitted - you need to be present at the AGM to be eligible.

CMG's Crimspon Spring

Melbourne University Chinese Music Group (CMG) warmly invites you to attend our annual musical production “春祭 Crimson Spring” which will be held on 13^th, 14^th, 19^th, 20^th and 21^st of August, at 7 pm in Union House Theatre, ground floor of Union House, University of Melbourne.

Directed by award winning director Felix Ho, this musical revolves around the themes of Desire, Isolation, Politics, Sacrifice and Family. An original script and music; backed by the power of orchestra and dance, this musical features the new direction headed by CMG 2010. There will also be English subtitles for the non-Chinese speakers.

CMG would also like to tell you about our special promotions - members of your club will all get tickets at our member price ($13/$15 last show) if they purchase through MoMU, and should there be more than 15 tickets in total, you’ll receive an extra complimentary ticket. Just drop by our table at Union House from 12-2pm, and you can collect your complimentary ticket and purchase more if you like. The ski trip is around the corner, so for the lucky ones who managed to sign up in time, get your parkas ready people. If you've had not signed up, you may have missed this year's. But fear not, it's an annual event, so we'll look forward to seeing you next year.

We're keeping our cards close to our chest here, but in the meantime, let's just say you ought to fasten that bib, or maybe get a really good dress from winter sale. Get the groove on people, cos this sem's gonna rawk.

Yes I know, it sounds boring, NOT. Wanna be part of the MoMU team of 2011? Give it all you got at the AGM scheduled just a few weeks away. You never know, you may get real lucky. Or maybe you're just way too handsome to pass. Or maybe you're just THAT good.
